First dual degree graduation at RESOLV
Since last year, the Faculty for Chemistry and Biochemistry at Ruhr University Bochum is partnering with Karazin Kharkiv National University in Charkiw (Ukraine) to offer the possibility of obtaining a dual degree.

Preis für Biokonversion nachwachsender Rohstoffe
Daniel Eggerichs lässt Bakterien Kunststoff-Vorstufen aus Abfällen der Papierherstellung produzieren. Bislang sind Kunststoffe nur mithilfe von Erdöl herstellbar. Dr. Daniel Eggerichs hat in seiner Dissertation an der Ruhr-Universität Bochum einen Weg entwickelt, Vorstufen für Kunststoffe durch genetisch veränderte Bakterien aus Abfällen der Papierindustrie produzieren zu lassen.
