You have obtained your higher education entrance qualification in a country outside the EU/EEA and would now like to apply for a Bachelor's degree programme with us.
Here you will find all the information you need to apply for our Bachelor's degree programmes B.Sc. Chemistry, B.Sc. Biochemistry and 2-subject B.A. Chemistry + X
There are only a few more steps to your successful application. Please have the following ready:
Personal data and a scan of the passport
Proof that you have passed the language test (German) as a scan of the original. Accepted language certificates can be found here.
A scan of the school leaving certificate in the original language and as a certified copy
The scan of the proof of financing. You can find all information here.
If applicable, proof of having passed the university entrance examination (e.g. from Turkey, Iran, etc.) as a scan of the original and an officially certified translation (German or English)
APS certificate (only for applicants with certificates from China, Vietnam or India). Please note, collective APS for other universities are not accepted!
If you were/are already enrolled at another university: Number of semesters previously enrolled at a German university

Apply for enrolment (submit requested documents). Forwarding via the application portal directly to the enrolment application The processing takes approx. 4-6 weeks.
Receive confirmation of enrolment and student ID card

With your access data, which you received after registering in the new RUB application portal, you can check the status of your application at any time. Do this regularly while your documents are being checked so that you do not miss any notices, follow-up questions and possible deadlines.
After successful registration, you will receive your access data from Hochschulstart, consisting of an applicant ID (BID) and an applicant authentication number (BAN). In order to successfully participate in the admission procedure, you must enter these when applying online at the Ruhr-Universität.
Apply by July, 15th (upload documents)
Your application will be reviewed and the selection process will be carried out. This can take around 4-6 weeks.

ATTENTION: Applications for combination subjects with restricted admission must also be submitted via the application portal by July, 15th.

Apply for enrolment (submit requested documents). You will be forwarded directly to the enrolment application via the application portal. Processing takes approx. 4-6 weeks.
Receive confirmation of enrolment and student ID card
