You have obtained your higher education entrance qualification within the EU/EEA and would now like to apply for a Bachelor's degree programme with us.
Here you will find all the information you need to apply for our Bachelor's degree programmes B.Sc. Chemistry, B.Sc. Biochemistry and 2-subject B.A. Chemistry + X
If you, your child or your parents have European citizenship, if you are married to a person who has European citizenship or if you have a school or university degree from a member state of the European Union, you are an EU national and are therefore on an equal footing with German applicants.
There are only a few more steps to your successful application. Please have the following ready:
Personal data and a scan of the identification document (e.g. passport or identity card)
A scan of the school leaving certificate in the original language and as a certified copy
If you were/are already enrolled at another university: Number of semesters previously enrolled at a German university
An e-mail address that is checked regularly

Apply for the B.Sc. Chemistry by July, 15th (upload documents)
Apply for enrolment (submit requested documents). You will be forwarded directly to the enrolment application via the application portal. Processing takes approx. 4-6 weeks.
Receive confirmation of enrolment and student ID card
Start your studies on October, 1st

With your access data, which you received after registering in the new RUB application portal, you can check the status of your application at any time. Do this regularly while your documents are being checked so that you do not miss any notices, follow-up questions and possible deadlines.
After successful registration, you will receive your access data from Hochschulstart, consisting of an applicant ID (BID) and an applicant authentication number (BAN). In order to successfully participate in the admission procedure, you must enter these when applying online at the Ruhr-Universität.
Apply by July, 15th (upload documents)
Your application will be reviewed and the selection process will be carried out. This can take around 4-6 weeks.

ATTENTION: Applications for combination subjects with restricted admission must be submitted via the application portal by 15 July.
